Theodore D. Sklar


Theodore Sklar has over 25 years of legal experience since graduating from Hofstra University Law School in 1981.  Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sklar was the Deputy County Attorney of Suffolk County, an office that included sixty attorneys.  Immediately prior to that appointment, he served as the Chief of the General Litigation Bureau.  Mr. Sklar represented the County, its agencies, its elected and appointed officials and its employees in litigation matters and as legal counsel for seventeen years, including trials, appeals, and administrative proceedings covering various aspects of municipal law, real property and land-use issues, civil rights, civil service law and employment discrimination.  Mr. Sklar currently represents Suffolk County businesses, individuals, and landowners in all areas of civil litigation, and he appears on behalf of applicants before governmental boards and agencies.
