Lisa joined the firm’s general transactional practice in October 2015 when she re-located from Manhattan to return to her roots on the East End of Long Island.  Her practice includes corporate/business matters, estate planning, real estate transactions and estate administration.

Lisa’s business practice includes representing sellers and purchasers in the sales and acquisitions of business assets and ownership interests in various of types of businesses, including those in the food, hospitality, marine, construction, medical, and retail industries, as well as representing various landscaping, sporting, agricultural, manufacturing and food and service businesses throughout the East End in their ongoing business operations.  Lisa prepares and negotiates operating agreements, partnership agreements, bylaws, nondisclosure agreements, leases and various other documents for her business clients, as well as advises them on an ongoing basis.   Additionally, she has represented not-for-profit corporations in both their formation and dissolution, as well as in ongoing matters.

Lisa’s estate planning practice includes preparing essential estate planning documents (such as wills, Powers of Attorney and Living Wills and Health Care Proxies), advising on the creation and administration of various types of trusts, and preparing and negotiating prenuptial agreements. She also advises individuals and families in connection with wealth transfers, including transfers of real property and business interests and other gifting transactions intended to maximize assets and minimize estate taxes.  Her estate administration practice includes representing fiduciaries in the probate of wills and administration of intestate estates, from the initial filing of the necessary documents with the Surrogate’s Court through distribution of the assets and the closing of the estate.

Lisa’s real estate practice includes representing sellers and buyers of both commercial and residential real estate, from reviewing broker listing agreements and preparing and negotiating contracts of sale through the closing of the transaction, along with reviewing and negotiating construction agreements and commercial and residential leases.  She has also represented clients in the purchase and sale of underwater land.

Lisa received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where she was a Note Editor for the Boston University Public Interest Law Journal. Lisa was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1997 and, prior to joining the firm, had over 18 years of transactional experience practicing with two pre-eminent international law firms and a global investment bank.  Lisa was raised in Manorville and graduated from Westhampton Beach High School.  She currently resides in Wading River with her husband.
