In addition to representing clients in all aspects of estate planning and administration, EHA’s attorneys are experienced in trust and estate litigation, having represented estate executors, administrators, trustees, beneficiaries, and interested persons in contested Surrogate’s Court matters, such as will contests and trust disputes, accountings, guardianship proceedings, proceedings involving fiduciary duties and responsibilities, proceedings for the discovery and turnover of estate or trust assets, objections based on competency and undue influence, and related court proceedings.
When appropriate, we work with our clients to try to find an early, amicable resolution to contested trust and estate matters in order to preserve the assets of the estate or trust.
Some of the firm’s attorneys also serve as court-appointed guardians ad litem in proceedings involving incapacitated persons and minors.
