Amanda Star Frazer is a partner of the firm whose practice focuses on sophisticated civil litigation, with particular experience in real estate and title disputes, commercial litigation, contract and business tort matters, contested estate proceedings, and civil appeals. She represents individuals, property owners, businesses, and fiduciaries in matters before New York State Supreme and Surrogate’s Courts, the Appellate Courts, the federal courts, and in arbitration.
With deep roots in the East End, Amanda brings particular insight to disputes involving the ownership and use of property—matters that can be especially complex where valuable real estate, longstanding property rights, and competing interests converge. She is frequently retained by property owners in title and real property disputes involving adverse possession, easements, boundary claims, contract claims, and related issues, as well as by national title insurance companies to represent both insurers and their insureds. She also serves as a Guardian ad Litem, appointed by the courts to protect the interests of minor children and incapacitated persons in Surrogate’s Court and Supreme Court proceedings.
Amanda graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 2007, where she was a Dean’s Merit Scholar and Writing Dean’s Fellow, a Dean’s Fellow for Professor Bernard H. Oxman, and a member of the editorial board of the University of Miami Law Review and Order of the Coif. She also served as a research assistant to Professor Mario L. Barnes and as a judicial intern to New York State Acting Supreme Court Justice Edward D. Burke, Sr. Before joining the firm in 2016, Amanda spent nine years practicing commercial and civil litigation in Florida, most recently as senior counsel at a state-wide firm.
Amanda was raised in Montauk and graduated with honors from Choate Rosemary Hall before earning her undergraduate degree from Bucknell University. Following college, she lived in Madrid, Spain, where she taught English, and later returned to the East End as a senior writer and reporter for The East Hampton Star. In 2016, she returned permanently to the South Fork and now lives in East Hampton with her husband and daughter.
Amanda has long been committed to her local community. She joined the Board of Directors of The Ellen Hermanson Foundation in 2019 and now serves as a member of its Board Emeritus. Since 2025, she has volunteered as an English-as-a-Second-Language teacher at Ruta27 in East Hampton.
Amanda is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and serves as co-chair of its East End Lawyers’ Committee. She has been recognized by Thompson Reuters as a New York Metro Area “Super Lawyer” in Business Litigation from 2023 through 2026, after previously being named a “Rising Star” in Business Litigation from 2013 through 2017.
