James Spiess

Of Counsel

After graduating from the St. John’s University School of Law in 1981, James Spiess began practicing law in New York City at a firm that concentrated in trust and estate litigation.  In 1983, he relocated to the East End of Long Island and joined the predecessor to the firm of McNulty-Spiess, P.C.

As of February, 2021, Jim joined EHADP as “of counsel” to the firm, bringing to the firm almost 40 years of estate, commercial and real estate litigation experience, at both trial and appellate levels.  As a seasoned Surrogate’s Court practitioner, Jim is regularly asked to represent clients of firms throughout the metropolitan area in matters before the Suffolk County Surrogate’s Court.  He is a member of both the New York State and Suffolk County Bar Association.
