Amanda Star Frazer Partner

Amanda Star Frazer is a partner of the firm who concentrates her practice in complex civil litigation, including real estate and title litigation, commercial litigation, contract and business torts disputes, and civil appellate litigation.  She practices in New York State Supreme and Surrogate’s Courts, Appellate Courts, Federal Courts, and in arbitration.  Amanda also serves as a Guardian ad Litem, appointed to represent the interests of minor children and incapacitated adults in various Surrogate’s Court and Supreme Court proceedings.

Before joining the firm in 2016, Amanda practiced commercial and civil litigation in Florida for nine years, last serving as senior counsel at a state-wide firm. Amanda has been frequently retained by property owners to resolve title disputes, including adverse possession, easement, and boundary claims, and by national title insurance companies to represent them and their insureds.

Amanda graduated magna cum laude in 2007 from the University of Miami School of Law, where she was a Dean’s Merit Scholar, a Writing Dean’s Fellow, a Dean’s Fellow for Professor Bernard H. Oxman in torts, an editorial board member of the University of Miami Law Review, Order of the Coif, a research assistant for Professor Mario L. Barnes, and a judicial intern for New York State Acting Supreme Court Justice Edward D. Burke, Sr.

Amanda was raised in Montauk, graduated with honors from Choate Rosemary Hall, and received her undergraduate degree from Bucknell University. Between college and law school, Amanda lived in Madrid, Spain and served as a senior writer and reporter for The East Hampton Star. In 2016, she returned to the South Fork and now lives in East Hampton with her husband and daughter. Amanda has served on the Board of Directors of the Ellen Hermanson Foundation since 2018.

Amanda is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and serves as the chair of its East End Lawyers’ Committee. She was named in the 2023 Thompson Reuters’ list of NY Metro Area “Super Lawyers” in Business Litigation, having previously been named a “Rising Star” in Business Litigation from 2013 through 2017.
